Betting Tips

In this section you'll find our latest betting tips & previews for a variety of sports. You can filter the previews by sports by going to our betting guide for that sport (eg: football) which contains a list of the most recent tips articles.

This weekend’s racing highlight is the Eider Chase from Newcastle. As is often the case with this contest, the ground at the track is currently heavy. We do have a dry week forecast in the North East though, so this may improve a little come the day of the race. As ever, bottomless reserves of stamina will still be the number one pre-requisite for success.

Vincenzo Montella’s Sevilla welcome Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan for a tasty-looking La Liga fixture this Sunday evening. With Sevillistas lagging behind in the race for the top four, only three points will do for the hosts this weekend. However, they are coming up against an Atletico side who have been beaten just once in the Spanish top flight all season.

One of the standout fixtures from the EFL Championship this weekend is the Fulham v Wolverhampton Wanderers clash. These two in-form sides go head-to-head at Craven Cottage in Saturday’s late kick off. Wolves head into this nine points clear of second placed Cardiff City, while the Cottagers are flying in fifth. Could both of these teams end up in the Premier League next term?

Barcelona can extend their lead at the top of La Liga to 10 points if they can defeat a Girona side who have exceeded expectation this season. This is the first ever season Girona have featured in La Liga but they’ve not looked at all out of place.

Bayern can create history with a 15th consecutive victory this weekend in all competitions. Out to spoil the party are Hertha Berlin but the odds are very much stacked against them getting anything from this game.

Wembley hosts the League Cup final on Sunday in what is a match-up of last year’s FA Cup semi-final. It was the Gunners who triumphed then but they are up against a vastly improved City side this time.

We head to Kempton for the pick of this weekend’s big handicapping action with this Grade 3 Chase contest over three miles. The going is currently described as good to soft, and with the weather set fair for the remainder of the week, we should have perfect racing conditions come Saturday afternoon.

The biggest clash in the Premier League this weekend sees Manchester United host Chelsea as both sides look to strengthen their positions in the top four. The Blues look the more likely to miss out as things stand at the moment but a win here would surely change that and give Jose Mourinho real cause for concern.

After their Australian adventure, Wigan will be brought back down to earth with a bump. After all, a cold February night in Warrington bears little similarity with a balmy summer evening in Sydney.

Gregor Townsend’s Scotland and Eddie Jones’ England lock horns at Murrayfield Stadium this Saturday for a vital Six Nations Championship fixture. The English, who have nine points to their name after two games, head to Edinburgh as the clear favourites to claim the win, which will be their third victory of the championship and put them well on course for a possible Grand Slam.
