The feature contest on Champions Day comes with race five, and one of the top mile and a quarter races of the year. The big news in the build-up was the late withdrawal of Sir Michael Stoute’s talented performer, Ulysses, who may well have been vying for favouritism here. Even in his absence though, we still have a cracking field of 10 going to post.

Race two on Champions Day sees one of the most eagerly anticipated head to head clashes of the week as Caravaggio and Harry Angel do battle once again. This looks far from a two horse race though, featuring a field of the most talented speedsters in the game.
