The Bluebirds have eyes on joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in the top flight via the direct route, while the Rams are enduring a fierce battle with several other clubs for a place in the play-offs.

Jupp Heynckes’ Bayern Munich and Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid meet in a blockbuster UEFA Champions League semi-final, with the first leg taking place at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Wednesday night. After doing battle in Germany on Wednesday, the two giants then lock horns again in the second leg in Madrid six nights later.

Roma’s first Champions League semi-final match since 1984 sees them take on Liverpool at Anfield. The Italians pulled off a remarkable comeback to reach this stage and more drama can be expected in this tie.

Stoke come into Sunday’s clash with Burnley as one of three sides trading at a large odds-on price to face the drop. The Potters are not completely without hope though as a strong end to the season could see them pull off a dramatic escape.

Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus and Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli go head-to-head in a huge game at the top of Serie A this Sunday night. With their survival secured, Newcastle now have the chance to leapfrog Everton into the top half of the table by claiming all three points at Goodison Park on Monday night. Sam Allardyce has successfully steered Everton clear of the drop zone but his brand of football has won over few fans.

London rivals Arsenal and West Ham United meet at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Will that be enough for him to shade this clash with Nonito Donaire and become a champion once again?

There’s an odd lack of edge to Amir Khan’s upcoming clash with Phil Lo Greco, and it’s not just down to the favourite’s massively cut odds. The Bolton fighter is clearly angling for a big return after close to two years outside of the ring, but he’s not quite hit the heights he probably thinks he deserves in his return bout. Just how much does the 31-year-old have left in the tank?
