The Turkish Grand Prix made a one-off return for the 2020 season, having last being held in 2011 and will again be held in 2021 to replace the cancelled Canadian Grand Prix.
The Turkish Grand Prix took place at the Istanbul Park Circuit which held every Turkish Grand Prix between 2005 and 2011 and in 2020 and 2021. The track is located to the East of Turkey’s largest city, just 10km from the Sabiha Gokcen airport.
There have been two British winners of the Turkish Grand Prix in Jenson Button in 2009 for Brawn and Lewis Hamilton in 2011 for McLaren and 2020 for Mercedes. Other winners of the Turkish Grand Prix are Kimi Raikkonen, Felipe Massa on three occasions and Sebastian Vettel.
