The Premier League Golden Boot has been awarded every season to the division’s top goalscorer or goalscorers since its inauguration in 1992/93, when it was won by Tottenham Hotspur’s Teddy Sheringham. When more than one player scores the same number of goals, the award is shared.
Eighteen goals has been enough to win the Golden Boot in two seasons, with 34 goals the record scored in a single campaign by both Andy Cole for Newcastle United in 1993/94 and Alan Shearer for Blackburn Rovers during their title winning 1994/95 season.
Arsenal’s Thierry Henry has won the Premier League Boot on more occasions than any other player with four, followed by Harry Kane and Alan Shearer both with three.
